Dr. Christine Learman

A 1992 graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Christine Learman is co-owner of Maple Shade Animal Hospital. During her four years in veterinary school, Dr. Learman received several academic awards and citations. She was class president in her junior and senior years, received the Spirit Award in her sophomore year and earned an Iams Nutrition scholarship in her senior year.

After completing her veterinary studies, Dr. Learman was awarded an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City. This internship, along with six years experience working as an associate veterinarian at a local animal hospital, was excellent preparation for establishing her own veterinary practice.

Dr. Learman is a general small animal veterinarian. Some of her professional interests include surgery, nutrition, endocrinology and holistic medicine. She is currently completing requirements for certification in veterinary acupuncture.

Aside from her professional interests, Dr. Learman enjoys hiking, gardening, gourmet cooking and spending time with her two dogs, Woody and Abby, and three cats, Cricket, Ping Pong and Plant Man.
